Winston Graham The second Saturday in the month 12pm - Repeated Thursday 4pm Winston, also known as The Messenger. I began my DJ journey many years ago in local pubs in Nottingham after having a friend who had a sound and used to dj in their at the weekends. I then also started running discos and earning the opportunity to play in nightclubs along the way. I had a few residences in various pubs in Nottingham, such as the Palais and Ablib/ Beachcomber.I then decided to go to Germany with some of my cousins to work as a presser. Whilst in Germany I worked as a DJ at some of the seediest venues going, but these venues allowed for the best Soul and Reggae which allowed me the opportunity to broaden my sound and experience. After a few years I returned to the UK and got involved with the pirate radio scene , mainly Heatwave radio. My preference was as a late-night presenter, sharing music and deeper vibes with listeners who were tuned in after hours. After taking a break from music for a while, I returned refreshed and re-energised, and then started hosting shows on various internet radio stations, mainly JFSR and a local Nottingham based station Kemet FM ( where I still present on ) continuing my passion for connecting people through music. Now, I'm proud to be part of Rare Groove Radio, which allows me to dig deeper into my music collection and share that collection with you.
